EXPERIENCE AS A CHOREOGRAPHER
Since the beginning of her professional career, Beatriz was related to choreography individually and in a collective way, she is one of the founders and dancers of the street dance-theatre collective “Danza a pie” in 2017 in Santiago-Chile, and during two years, 2017-2018, she was the choreographer of various performances of “Modo Escenico”, Santiago-Chile.
As a choreographer and dancer she is deeply related to a interdisciplinary field, since her formation in her Dance degree (BA), she was actively related to the interdisciplinary field, collaborating with mostly musicians, organizing and being part of events of interdisciplinary sessions and jams, and in the last year being part of a Scenic Music festival, performing her work and collaboration with the Composer Tamara Miller, in the Akademie der Kunste Berlin.
She is base in Berlin since 2018 and at the moment she is mostly working as a freelance dancer and choreographer showing her pieces in different dance, circus and music festivals like; Let me in, Chilean Conexion, Juggles Parks, Zirkus Mond, Wo kommen wir hin - Akademie der Künste Berlin, Domilonga.
Her work is quite physical and sensitive; this is born from the artistic need to put on stage human and social questions that seem fundamental and contingent for her. Translating ideas, emotions and desires into moving images, incarnating and transforming the space, to see, and to see yourself in the other, to play, to question, to move and to be moved.
