Beatriz Silva Aranda is a Chilean contemporary dancer based in Berlin. She graduated with a Bachelors degree in Dance, from the University of Chile in 2017. Before her professional education, she was involved in dance and Latin folklore from a young age. Most her works and collaborations as a performer and teacher have a political and social focus. She was one of the founder and performers of the street dance-theater collective “Danza a Pie” in Chile.
She is based in Berlin since 2018 working as a dancer, choreographer, director and collaborator of diferent multidisciplinary projects. Her creations and productions take part of diverse dance, circus and music festivals like; Hecho en BAJ, Santiago a la gorra, Let me in, Chilean Conexion, Juggles Parks, Zirkus Mond, Wo kommen wir hin - Akademie der Künste Berlin, Domilonga. And also artistic venues like, Ernst Busch Institute, SOMA Art Space Berlin, ADK, Kampnagel, Washaus Postdam among others.

Since the begging of her career she was actively related to a interdisciplinary field, collaborating with mostly musicians, organizing and being part of events of interdisciplinary sessions and jams, and lately being part of scenic music pieces and music projects.

She is very much into improvisation and instant creation, this being a big part of her research as a teacher and performer. During the last years, she has also been involved in projects of choreographers in Germany and Chile such as, Jhony Lloyd, Paulo Uribe, Luis Eduardo Araneda, Daphnis Kokkinos, Macarena Campbell, Paulina Mellado, Felipe Fizkal, dancing in places like, Matucana100, Theatre Antonio Varas, among others.
